A LONG-STANDING TRADITION

Agriculture has always been a key component of our country’s economy. It is included in Sector I of the national economy and is the most important component of the food economy. In addition to producing food for humans, agriculture also aims to produce animal feed and raw materials for the processing industry.

Farming in Poland was for many of its people their whole life, and they spent most of their time in the fields. This ensured the quality of their products. Polish farms, based on values such as tradition and experience, did not support themselves with pesticides or artificial fertilisers.

There have been exchanges between neighbours. When someone had a lot of grain that could be used as animal feed, among other things, they could barter with someone for seasonal vegetables, fruits and even meat.

There have also always been markets where you could buy homegrown products straight from the farmer.

The tradition of Polish agriculture has always brought people together and created a society that respects the values that go behind Polish products, namely quality and safety.
